About

Built by a lab that needed this tool itself

Why EvidenceFlow exists

EvidenceFlow is built by PG Lab, in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The lab investigates the genomic and epigenetic basis of hypospadias and other congenital genitourinary and gastrointestinal anomalies — work that depends on systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and evidence synthesis as much as it depends on lab benches and operating theatres.

EvidenceFlow started as infrastructure the lab needed for its own research — screening literature, extracting structured data, pooling effect sizes, and tracing a claim back to its source study — and was built into a general-purpose platform because that same workflow bottleneck is universal across systematic review and meta-analysis work, not specific to pediatric surgery or genomics.

Prabudh Goel, MCh, PhD

Prabudh Goel is Professor of Pediatric Surgery at AIIMS New Delhi and leads PG Lab. He completed his MBBS (Gold Medallist) at King George's Medical University, Lucknow, a six-year MCh in Pediatric Surgery (Gold Medallist, 2005–2010) at AIIMS New Delhi, and a PhD in Pediatric Surgery at AIIMS (2020–2025), with doctoral research on the genomics of hypospadias.

He has served AIIMS New Delhi as Assistant, Associate, and Additional Professor of Pediatric Surgery since 2014, was appointed Professor of Pediatric Surgery in 2024, and held a faculty position at King George's Medical University, Lucknow, from 2012 to 2014.

PG Lab's research spans genomic variant discovery, population-based anthropometric reference standards, and evidence synthesis methodology — the numbers below reflect Prabudh Goel's personal publication record, not EvidenceFlow itself, which is a tool the lab built rather than a subject of its own research.

Verify us

EvidenceFlow doesn't have its own publication record — it's new software. What you can verify is the lab and the person behind it: PG Lab's full research output, team, and publications are at drprabudhgoel.in, and the Department of Pediatric Surgery at AIIMS New Delhi can confirm his faculty appointment directly.
